Dawud Abdus-Saboor, A.S.A. is an American; an Associate of the U.S. based Society of Actuaries, and has been a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, with nearly thirty years of professional actuarial experience in the field of pensions, life insurance, health insurance, and family Takaful (Islamic life insurance).
Over the many years of his professional career Dawud has worked in consulting firms, a brokerage firm, insurance companies, a Health Maintenance Organization, as well as the first Takaful operation in Saudi Arabia [Bank Aljazira – Takaful Ta’awuni Division]. Dawud holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and has also spent several years in a secondary career as a high school mathematics instructor. He is currently a co-founding partner and director at Takaful Outsource Ltd, a “boutique” professional consultancy registered in the UK and the Netherlands serving the global Takaful industry.
