Cameron is responsible for developing and implementing Lloyd’s business and market development strategy across the UK, Ireland, Middle East and Africa. He has overall operational responsibility for the region, supported by teams in London, Johannesburg and Dublin.

Cameron joined Lloyd’s in 2000 tasked with developing and implementing Lloyd’s broker accreditation programme to widen and internationalize broker access to the Lloyd’s market. He then spent three years in Asia as Lloyd’s General Representative for Hong Kong before returning to the UK in 2005 to manage Lloyd’s relationships and communications with regulators around the world. This included leading dialogue on issues of regulatory policy with insurance supervisors in the 75+ countries in which Lloyd’s is licensed, and spearheading market access negotiations with government and regulatory authorities in India and Turkey.

Previously, Cameron held specialist roles on European insurance legislation and UK distribution and broker regulation at the Association of British Insurers (ABI). He also served a year as Special Assistant to the Director General and Secretary to the ABI Board.

Cameron is a graduate of European languages from the University of Bradford in the UK. He also holds a Masters degree in Diplomacy & International Strategy from the London School of Economics. He graduated from the Lloyd’s Leadership Programme at the London Business School in 2008.
