Faisal gained a BA in Engineering at Cambridge University and Masters in Computer Science at London University.  In a distinguished career he spent 17 years at IBM working with banks and insurance companies to maximise the benefit of technology. 

Clients included Lloyds Bank, Midland Bank, Commercial Union and Norwich Union, Arab Orient, Seker Sigorta.Subsequently he sat, as an executive, on the boards of software companies, including Creative Insurance Services and Tate Bramald, in the financial services sector and has also consulted to technology giants such as Microsoft and Oracle, where he is currently vice-chairman of the Oracle partner advisory board.  

He is an outspoken champion of the benefits of technology as a competitive weapon for businesses and as a cohesive force in society at large. He founded Amanah Technology Consulting to assist Islamic banks and insurance companies establish technology strategies and execution plans to achieve their true potential.
 
Faisal has been a trustee of theMuhammadi Trust of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and is also the Chairman of his family restaurant business.
