- Dr. Metaib Al-Rawqi obtained his B.Sc. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Mineral (KFUPM) in July 1995
- He received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM)
- Holds a Ph.D. degree in insurance with a thesis on “The Impact of Information Technology on the Insurance Industry in Saudi Arabia".
- Dr. Al-Rawqi is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Weqaya Takaful Insurance and Reinsurance Company
- Held several managerial and executive positions, where he served as the electronic services manager, then the deputy general manager- marketing and sales in the National Company for Cooperative Insurance (NCCI)
- Dr. Al-Rawqi has been elected by the council of Saudi Chambers - National Insurance Committee as the project manager for Najm motor insurance development in the kingdom
- At Najm Insurance Services company, he held the position of the Chief Executive Officer and Board Member from 2006-2009
- Nominated for “KSA - Best CEO in Insurance Industry for 2011” by Arabian Business Magazine
- Dr. Al-Rawqi has been elected by the executive committee of the insurance companies to be the chairman of the motor committee in the kingdom
- He received several professional certificates and advanced courses, such as the certificate of proficiency in insurance (COP) from the chartered insurance institute (CII) in the United Kingdom, also he received an advanced certificate in engineering insurance from Munich Re in Germany
