Dr Mohamed Maait is currently working as the Deputy Minister of Egyptian Finance - Pensions and Social Insurance Sector. Recently, he was appointed as the Chairman of the first Egyptian Governmental Actuarial Department (EGAD).

- Honorably Dr Maait had the National responsibility of preparing for the New Egyptian Law of Pensions and Social Insurance which was officially issued under his supervision and by his team June 2010.

- Dr Maait had his PhD in Actuarial Science, , City University, London, UK. Also, he has more than 23 years of teaching experience of numerous modules in theoretical and applied mathematics and statistics in finance, insurance, management, business and actuarial science at various levels, for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
He has a distinguish membership at many Organizations such as;

• Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society, London, UK
• Board Member of the Egyptian Insurance Supervisory Authority ( EISA)
• Board Member of Health Insurance Organization (HIO)
• Member of the at the Egyptian Ministry of Manpower
• Member of the Insurance Policies, Investment, and Legal affairs committees at the National Organization for Social Insurance
• Member of the Committee responsible of Supervising the Actuarial Sciences Program at the faculty of commerce, Cairo University
