The ICMIF Secretariat is based in the UK and supported by regional association staff in Tokyo and Washington. The Secretariat’s activities are governed by a Board of Directors and specialist committees comprised of executives drawn from ICMIF’s member organisations.
- ICMIF has 221 members in 71 countries with approximately one-third in Europe, a further third in the Americas and the remainder representing Asia and Oceania, Africa and the Middle East
- ICMIF members represent 6.1%of the world’s insurance market
- Premium income of ICMIF members increased by 3.4% in 2010 compared with the previous year
- Members’ premiums saw a growth of 14% in the period 2008-2010, well ahead of the total market which only grew by 1.6%; with exceptional growth in the life business of members of 17.3%
