Ffion Flockhart is a Partner at Norton Rose LLP’s Insurance, Reinsurance and Takaful Group.  Ffion specialises in insurance and reinsurance dispute resolution, the regulation of Takaful and policy drafting for a range of classes of business, including bespoke takaful policy wordings.  Ffion has experience of the insurance and takaful markets in the Middle East and has also worked on a range of Islamic finance matters during her time in Norton Rose (Middle East) LLP office in Dubai.  Ffion has co-written a number of articles on the regulation of takaful and is a regular contributor to the Middle East Insurance Review.  She has also spoken on the subject at seminars in the UK.  Ffion regularly travels to the Middle East and has experience of the insurance markets in the region having advised on a number of policy and coverage issues.  Ffion is also a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute working group on takaful which is committed to developing and promoting an understanding of takaful and re-takaful in the London market.
