Andrew Bartlett is an experienced commercial litigator at international law firm Simmons & Simmons LLP focusing both on litigation and arbitration.  He has extensive experience in the complex jurisdictional and conflicts of laws issues that arise in high value cross-border disputes, particularly in respect of the enforcement of judgments.  In recent years, Andrew has been involved in around 30 reported judgments in all levels of the English Courts from the High Court to the Supreme Court.  Andrew's experience is highly international having directed and co-ordinated proceedings in countries in North America, Africa the Middle East and Europe giving rise to numerous significant decisions of the appellate courts.  Andrew regularly speaks and writes articles on related issues.  The innovative strategies devised by Andrew and the Simmons & Simmons team in the worldwide Masri v Consolidated Contractors litigation won the coveted Financial Times Innovative Lawyer Award for Dispute Resolution 2011 and they have been shortlisted for the dispute resolution category of the forthcoming The Lawyer Awards 2012.
