John Gilbert is a member of the Financial Institutions Group in Hogan Lovells London office and has been a Consultant since 2005. He is a former partner in Lovells and focuses on corporate and regulatory advice to friendly societies and other mutual insurers.

He has acted for friendly society clients and for banks and other institutions dealing with friendly societies since the 1980's and is recognised as one of the foremost practitioners in this specialist field.

John's practice includes advising clients on acquisitions and mergers, friendly society formation and incorporation, with-profits and general regulation, rule changes and corporate governance.
