Ayman Alajmi is the Chief Executive Officer Of Dar AlTakaful for Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance (Dar AlTakaful PJSC is established to write General Takaful business with an initial capital of AED100 million of which 55% of its shares are held by the public through listing with Dubai Financial Market. The head office is based in the Emirate of Dubai, UAE).

Mr. AlAjmi is a Chartered Insurer as well as an (ACII) Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII-UK), and he graduated with honors from The University of Memphis (USA) with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management & Insurance. Mr. AlAjmi has received a number of awards for outstanding achievement and academic excellence.

He is considered one of leading scholars of the global Islamic Insurance industry. He is the External Adviser for the Chartered Insurance Institute, London UK, overseeing ACII level unit “principles of Takaful” Mr. Alajmi also a Visiting Lecturer on Risk Management and insurance at numerous Universities and Institutes in the Middle East as well as an External Consultants on Insurance training for (BIBF) Bahrain Institute for Banking and Finance.

Mr. AlAjmi started his insurance career with in Norwich Union Insurance Co. in Dubai prior to help kick starting Dubai Islamic Insurance & Reinsurance Co. (AMAN), where he worked as the Executive Manager, as well as the Head of Business Development and Marketing before joining AIG to start the Takaful operation for the Group as a General Manager for AIG Takaful Enaya Bahrain in 2006.

Prior to joining Dar Altakaful Mr. Al-Ajmi was the Managing Director for AIG operation in Saudi Arabia (Arabian American Insurance Co.) and at the same time he was the General Manager– Middle East for AIG Takaful Enaya B.S.C. ©, responsible for American Intentional Group’s (AIG) Takaful operations in the Middle East. He is also an Executive Director of the Board of Directors and Member of The Executive Committee of AIG Takaful Enaya. Under Mr. Alajmi leadership AIG Takaful Enaya was founded and two years later Enaya was named “The 2008 Best Takaful Company” by the International Takaful Awards in London UK.
